Inland or out to sea, ferries in South Australia will take you where you want to go. Take a voyage out to a beautiful island holiday, or commute easily between the banks of the Murray River.

Cross the mighty Murray onboard a ferry that will carry not only you but your car as well. A twenty four hour service operates between Morgan and Cadell, and there are ports all along the South Australian banks where you can hop on and off. Some of the ferries have been operating for many years, and are a part of life on the Murray for those that live and work there. Whether you just want to cross the river or you’re out for a bit of scenery, the ferries of the Murray will give you what you want.

Go all the way out to Kangaroo Island by ferry and your holiday will start before you even reach the shore! Make the most of the forty five minutes it takes to get there by sitting out on the sun deck, ordering a drink from the licensed café, watching a bit of TV or seeing if you can spot a dolphin from the special viewing deck. Departing from Cape Jervis, the ferry can carry you and your vehicle to Penneshaw and the operators will even help you organise your tour around the island.
