The Territory of Cocos (Keeling) Islands are located in the middle of the Indian Ocean 2750km northwest of Perth, Australia. The Cocos Islands are 900km west southwest of Christmas Island, its closest neighbour.

The Cocos Islands and Keeling Islands are a territory of Australia. There are two atolls with 27 coral islands in the group. Its location in the Indian Ocean means the climate is humid and tropical. The two populated islands are West Island and Home Island. West Island is the Capital of the Cocos (Keeling) Islands.
