Despite appearing as the size of a pea when looking at a map, this nation draws many visitors because of it’s duty-free status. Andorra has a beautiful landscape, located in the eastern Pyrenees Mountains and is bordered by France and Spain. In addition to the duty free, it’s also a tax haven for banking and has a booming economy.
High in the Pyrenees, Andorra has several major ski resorts including Soldeu/El Tarter and Pal/Arinsal. The ski resorts are popular, offer easy slopes for the less experienced skiers, and the ski schools here are among the largest in Europe. Once the snow is gone and the summer sun comes out, the terrain makes for great hiking and mountain climbing.
