There’s no doubt that Queensland is the bungee capital of Australia. There are more bungee jumping sites here than anywhere else in the country, from tall rainforest towers to scary amusement park variations.

Fall through the lush green rainforest from a fifty metre bungee platform just north of Cairns. The tower rises above the canopy, giving fantastic views of the Great Barrier Reef. Not that you’ll care! Feel the adrenaline pumping as you stand on the edge and wait for the countdown before you plunge through the rainforest.

There are heaps of amusement parks around Cairns that offer a variety of bungee experiences, and not all of them fall straight down! There’s also the reverse bungee, where you’re catapulted 55 metres into the air before bouncing back down to earth.

The Gold Coast also has its own bungee jump, where you’ll fall from a height of twelve stories to six feet above the ground in just 1.3 seconds! You don’t have to do it alone either, since up to three people can be strapped together for this ride of a lifetime.

If you like, you can add a new dimension to your jump. Do the highest jump on the planet, and combine bungee with parasailing over the water at 150 metres. Take the plunge at night, on a bike or if you’re really daring you can try a nude jump!
