If you want to combine amazing scenery with a sheer adrenaline rush then consider jumping out of a plane! Skydiving is a unique way to get your bearings in the Top End and you’ll never be able to complain of boring sightseeing. Board a small plane and take in the view before you catapult out the door and into the big blue sky.

Drop zones are not common outside of Darwin, but you may luck in with a local club in bigger regional towns. In Darwin you can sit back and enjoy the ride with a trained and experienced skydiver strapped to your back. Freefall at around 200 km/h before pulling your chute and preparing for a spectacular landing.

Your heart will be pumping madly as you take control of your parachute and glide down to one of Darwin’s beautiful beaches for your landing. The adrenaline rush will have you wanting to jump again and you can relive your daring adventure by getting it recorded on video.

Northern Territory skydiving operators include full training before a jump and supply all equipment like harnesses and goggles. Take a deep breath and dare to look down – it’s an experience to last a lifetime!
