OFF ROAD DRIVING is the ultimate challenge. You can do it in a SVU, 4WD, Land Rover, Jeep, tank, truck, personnel carrier, hovercraft or amphibious vehicle.

Some of the world’s most spectacular destinations await you as you learn bush craft, exploring, and natural and human history. Spend nights in luxury Safari Lodges, in tent platforms, or pup tents, and enjoy the trip of a lifetime. Enjoy rugged terrain, dense forest, mountains and deserts, mud, heat, cold, sloping hills, rain or dust storms adding challenge to this grueling and exhilarating sport. Test your skills and endurance under ever changing conditions.

If you are planning to venture into remote areas it is essential to have good training and the right equipment to keep you safe. Unless you are experienced take a one or two day training course. Practical skills are essential for safe off road driving.

Plan thoroughly. You will need water storage systems, long-range fuel tanks, bull bars, safety and emergency distress equipment. Check that the vehicles can handle the rugged usage, are thoroughly serviced and in tip-top condition. And carry essential spares.

Monsoons, landslides, and dust storms can make tracks impassable or inaccessible. Study to anticipate the needs, and plan ahead – including emergency options. And respect the land. Focus on environmental friendly off road driving. Repair any damage that has been done in an area, so the land is returned to how it was. Look for alternatives to bashing through national parks and areas where you can make a severe impact on the environment.

Off road driving can be done on a beach, on private property, or in a park. It can be done close to home, or as far away as Island, New Zealand, Mongolia, Namibia, Rwanda, Egypt or Portugal.
