THIS IS THE SEARCH PANEL

Get away from the mainland and head for the waves on an ocean encounter off the shores of Australia. What you can experience in each state is unique, and no two will offer exactly the same thing.

The famed tropical waters of Australia’s north hold a world of wonder for water enthusiasts. Just under the surface you’ll find a kingdom coloured with corals, fish, invertebrates and molluscs. Strap on a snorkel or dive tank and immerse yourself in a marine paradise in the warm northern seas.

The marine life of the south may not be as recognisable as that of tropical waters, but this is what makes it so unique. The cool waters attract all manner of creatures that you won’t find anywhere else, and the seascapes here are just as distinctive. Swim amongst giant kelp forests, limestone reefs or seagrass beds to discover the magic of the south coast’s undersea kingdom.

You don’t even need to get wet to have a mesmerizing ocean encounter in Australia. Migratory whales can be spotted from a cruise vessel, or even from the shore in some parts of the country. And if you’d like to take a peek under the waves, a glass bottom boat will allow you all the benefits of diving with none of the hassle.
