Start out on a knee board and work your way up on a water skiing excursion in New South Wales. If you stick at it you might one day be able to perform the most difficult of skiing methods – barefoot skiing!

With lots of smooth water and a near perfect climate, New South Wales is a great place for water skiing. Some ski areas are close to Sydney, while others offer the tranquillity of the remote parts of the state. Ski over natural waters, or take off in a purpose built ski park, the choice is up to you.

Glide across the waters of the Murray River near the state border. Expert instruction is available no matter what stage your at. If you’ve never skied before, have a go at knee boarding or if you’re already a pro, hone your skills further by learning new multiple inverts or spinning manoeuvres.

Designed especially with skiers in mind, you’ll find purpose built water parks are a skier’s paradise. With two or more manmade lakes, slalom courses, jumps, sliders and kicker ramps you’ll want to take advantage of accommodation facilities so you can stick around for while. It’s this type of facility that pro tournaments are held at, so you’re getting the best of the best.
