This part of Byron Bay is considered the best land-based whale watching location in the country, where you can see the majestic Humpback’s on their journey north between May and August, or when they head back around September. Thrill at the sight of these giant mammals rise from the deep to take in a breath of air before diving again, and if you’re lucky you can listen to the whale’s song at the local visitor’s centre.
