Grab a board and head for the dunes on the beautiful beaches of New South Wales. Experience the thrill of jumping on a board and sliding head first down dunes of up to fifty metres.

The Stockton Beach Dunes run fifteen kilometres along the Newcastle shoreline, and make for some of the best sand boarding in the state. The area offers a wide range of dunes that provide for everyone from beginners to experts. Most of the dunes are accessible by four wheel drive, but the best spots are hidden away in places you can only get to on foot. The north end of the forty metre high dunes is the place for a wild ride, with long drops and ramps to test your skills.

Though Stockton is the main sand boarding area in New South Wales, there are a couple of other little spots worth a ride. Green Hills near Cronulla has four or five good dunes within walking distance of the car park, with the best dunes towards the back. There are also some decent sandbanks at Crescent Head just north of Sydney, and a single dune at Palm Beach.
