Hot Air Ballooning

The south west corner of Western Australia is a place of rolling farmlands and lush greenery. Experience all the beauty of this part of the world high above the earth on a sunrise balloon flight over the Avon Valley.

Arriving at Northam before first light, you will watch as the balloon is inflated and takes shape before lift-off. Once you’re in the air and the sun peeks over the horizon, you will see the mists of the Avon Valley clearing to reveal an open landscape of winding streams that twist their way through the fertile pastures, tilled paddocks and budding crops of the surrounding farmlands. From the basket of your balloon you will have a panoramic view of this enchanting part of the country, allowing you to take in all its glory as the early morning sun hits your face.

Floating over the towns of Toodyay and York on this hour long flight will give you a very different perspective on these little gems of WA history. Spot historic buildings and landmarks of the small towns from the air, before gliding over the wine growing areas of the region. In spring the ground is carpeted with wildflowers, making a colourful collage that can be seen from above.
