Get away from the land and head for the waves on an ocean encounter. What you can experience in different parts of the United States is unique, and no two places will offer exactly the same thing. In the United States there are many places for Whale Watching, especially along the west coast of the Pacific Ocean as California Gray Whales make their way from the frigid Alaskan seas to the warm waters of Baja California where they birth and rear their young.

The Hawaiian Islands are another heavan for whale watching. In this tropical paradise you can take a boat ride out into the warm waters and watch the whales.

Whale watching is a lot of fun and you don’t even have to get wet to have a thrilling ocean encounter. Migratory whales are often best spotted from a cruise vessel. For a good peek under the waves, a glass bottom boat is the way to go and will provide benefits of a dive with none of the hassle.

For an excellent view, try a whale watching flight! Some tour companies offer this and flying at 1,000 feet over the ocean you will have an opportunity to see whales at full length.

If you’re a “Land Lubber”, locate a good observation spot and watch the whales from the shore.
